What to look for when choosing a Dog Trainer:-

There are a few simple things to look for, having a nice looking website and branded van does not mean they will be able to help with your training needs. We suggest that you check your trainer has:-

1) A recognised qualification in dog handling and or dog training and can provide proof of this on request or explain the qualification. At the very least whilst an individual can be a natural 'trainer', you would expect for them to have had some formal training. Beware of 'have ago' trainers who have learnt there skills from the many TV shows.

2) Is fully insured and can show prove this on request.

3) Can provide recent references on request of dogs that have had similar training needs.

4) Do you like the trainer and feel you can work with them and trust them. If you don't like their style, find them too agressive or patronising, then they may not be the best individual to choose.

Rest assured, to be listed on our site, the trainers below all carry relevant dog handling and training qualifications.
